Why SteriPro

Our clients see our numbers. Every month.

Every SteriPro client receives a monthly KPI dashboard — patient-safety, process, and workforce indicators — reviewed jointly through a standing operations committee. Below: the commitments we sign, and results we stand behind.

The KPI Dashboard

Performance you can hold us to.

These aren't marketing numbers — they're the same dashboard our clients review with us monthly, and the targets are contractual commitments.

Case Study — Hybrid Offsite Reprocessing

Sustaining surgical growth without rebuilding first.

A ~600-bed academic tertiary hospital in Ontario, 14 operating rooms growing to 18, roughly 300 trays a day. Client anonymized for confidentiality; all figures are actual engagement data. References available on request.

The problem

Surgical demand had outpaced the reprocessing department. Sterile storage was over capacity, and the space could not meet CSA Z314 requirements at projected volumes. Meeting future demand in place would have required an estimated $5.3M in reprocessing equipment alone — in a footprint that physically could not accommodate it. The hospital needed to modernize without cancelling a single case.

The SteriPro model

  • Assess. Capacity modeling against CSA Z314 Annex F, equipment audit, utilities analysis — a defensible capital decision, built from the hospital's own data.
  • Stabilize. SteriPro took over onsite operations: instrument-level traceability live, CSA-compliant SOPs, technician training.
  • Decompress. About one-third of daily volume — ~100 trays/day, ~26,000 trays/year — shifted to our centralized facility on 15 dedicated SteriChain™ transport runs per week, over 400 km each way, with continuous temperature and humidity logging.

~$5.3M

Equipment capital avoided — capital planning now anchored to validated capacity data instead of a forced buildout.

0

Planned OR downtime — offsite capacity absorbs a third of daily volume while the department is redeveloped.

100%

Surgical schedule protected — instrument-level traceability and CSA-compliant processes running ahead of the rebuild.

The ROI Model

Five places the business case finds value.

We don't present generic savings claims. A structured feasibility phase validates your baseline, then quantifies these five drivers — every figure traceable to your own data.

1

Reclaimed clinical space

Offsite capacity shrinks the SPD footprint — square footage returns to revenue-generating clinical use.

2

Avoided capital

Washers and sterilizers age out; growth compounds the bill. Offsite shifts that capital — and its refresh cycle — to SteriPro.

3

Labor stabilization

We absorb recruiting, training, and coverage risk — workforce stability is a contractual, monthly-reported KPI, with 100% training completion.

4

IUSS toward zero

Immediate-use sterilization is a capacity symptom. Instrument availability and throughput headroom drive it out — our contracts cap it below 1%.

5

Throughput headroom

When the SPD caps the OR schedule, 2,000+ trays/day of centralized capacity uncaps it — plan 30% surgical growth without rebuilding.

Technology & Quality Infrastructure

Traceability from decontamination to the OR door.

STS 2.0 Instrument Tracking

Proprietary instrument-level tracking: every instrument, every tray, every cycle — scanned, time-stamped, and auditable. When a surgeon asks "where is my set," the answer is a lookup, not a search party.

SteriChain™ Sterile Transport

The sterile chain treated like the vaccine cold chain: dedicated vehicles, continuous temperature and humidity data logging on every run, documented custody end to end.

How SteriChain™ works

Sterilabs — ISO 17025 Laboratory

Our accredited laboratory, Sterilabs, validates cleaning efficacy and sterilization performance — with dedicated quality assurance and R&D teams behind it.

Why hospital executives care

  • Accreditation evidence, on demand. Full parametric records and instrument-level history make audits a report, not a scramble.
  • Loss and hoarding become visible. Instrument-level data shows where sets actually go — and what it costs.
  • Liability has an address. Under Full Service, reprocessing quality risk transfers contractually to SteriPro.
