SteriPro brings its managed services model to the United States
SteriPro International Inc. has begun managed sterile processing services for a major U.S. public health system — bringing the model SteriPro built in Canada to American hospitals: specialist management, instrument-level traceability, monthly-reported KPIs, and a workforce program that actually retains technicians.
U.S. sterile processing departments face the same structural pressures as their Canadian counterparts — staffing shortages, aging infrastructure, rising instrument complexity — under their own regulatory frame: AAMI ST79, ST91, and ST108 standards, Joint Commission surveys, and CMS conditions of participation. SteriPro's operating system translates directly. The company holds 15+ seats on AAMI and CSA standards committees, and its quality infrastructure — ISO 9001, ISO 13485, ISO 17025 — is recognized on both sides of the border.
The engagement follows the model SteriPro has run in Canada since 2011: SPD management and quality systems onsite, hospital staff remaining hospital employees, monthly KPI dashboards reviewed through a joint operations committee, and contractual performance commitments — tray accuracy ≥98%, on-time delivery ≥98%, IUSS below 1%, and zero OR delays attributable to sterile supply.
