SteriPro’s contingency service is an emergency response program that has been developed to help hospitals and medical facilities continue with surgeries and services when they experience the following: Code Greys, Facility Failures, Infrastructure Failures, Sterilizer/Washer Failures, Wet Loads, or any other form of Instrument/Sterilization-related issues.
How We Do It
SteriPro Contingency response team provides on- and off-site support. Our team will arrive at your facility, assess the issues, and implement an immediate plan to send your instruments off-site for reprocessing and sterilization. Sets will be returned on time in priority order to ensure required instruments are ready for the OR.
SteriPro has a large inventory of ready-to-use instruments that can be shipped to hospitals for immediate use.
Our Facility
SteriPro’s state-of-the-art facility is located next to Pearson International Airport (Toronto). We have partnerships with major transport companies and airlines that allow us to transport sterile instruments anywhere across Canada.
Our facility operates 24/7/365, which means we can send instruments for reprocessing at any time and have them returned to you as quickly as possible to minimize the impact on patient care.
SteriPro’s facility meets all CSA standards, Accredited by Accreditation Canada, ISO 9001 certified for quality, and all of our technicians are experienced and highly trained.
How it works
Emergency Planning for hospitals is critical; however, most plans do not provide immediate solutions when the MDR department fails. CSA standards require hospitals to have an effective contingency plan in place for their MDR department. SteriPro Contingency Emergency Service will provide an immediate and effective solution that allows hospitals to easily meet this standard.
